Manato Park in Spokane

Manato Park is a beautiful park in spokane...that you normally visit in the spring or summer. We decided to take my parents there. It was still beautiful, but not quite as colorful as it would have otherwise been. We had fun and Eli had a blast on the slide.

Happy 1st Birthday Eli!

For Elijah's first birthday we had a party at the church with some of our family. Cody's parents and his sister Jodi's family came from Hermiston. My parents came from Utah to visit, so we had a good crowd of people. He got a little overwhelmed by all the gifts given to him at one time, but he loved the cake. We had a great time and we are grateful we were able to have some family come and share this special time with us. Thanks guys!

Eli walking a few steps...October 2008

This is one of the many practice sessions we had when Eli was learning to walk. Now he is walking like a pro!

Halloween 2008

For FHE we carved pumpkins with our friends and this is what Cody carved for our family. The other pictures are of us at the trunk or treat. Eli was a spider. I was a pro bowler and Cody was my bowling ball.
Afterward we had a party with our friends and then watched a scary movie. Good times!

Ward Party

Cody and our friend Cade were asked to sing at a ward party. They later sang at a stake thing too. They did so awesome and I am so proud of Cody! Here is one of the songs they sang. They also sang one with words they made up for our ward. It was so funny!

Playing Dress up, haha!

One Sunday Eli was wearing his cute suit for church and his friend Bell was dressed all adult like too, so we decided to take some pictures of them together. What a cute couple. (To all his other girlfriends...He still loves you too.)

Eli's first football game

We went to a game at EWU. Eli was so tired the entire time and eventually fell asleep. Not quite the reaction Cody was hoping for, but it was cute!

Eli-September!

I know it is late, but I can't leave things out. Here are just a few cute things about Eli.

Pig out in the Park

Every year Spokane has a thing called "Pig out in the Park". It is a fun thing where different food venders come and live music is performed, etc. Basically an excuse to stuff your face with good food. We went with the Lavines, it was all of our first time. We rode the bus into town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking and it worked out awesome! The kids loved the ride. So, now we can say that we pigged out in the park.

Clapping...well sort of.

When Eli was first starting to clap, he would just slap the tops of his hands really spastic like. He has now mastered the art of clapping and will clap whenever he thinks it is appropriate. He loves an audience!
Also, Eli has learned what sound the car makes and how to make the car go. He just figured it out one day. Definitely all boy!

Trip to Boise

At the end of August Cody's cousin Tate got married, so we went to Boise to be apart of the even. We are so happy for Tate and Kerry, they are a great couple. For some reason we don't have any pictures of Kerry, but she looked beautiful.
After the wedding we went to Cody's Aunt Christy's house and played Rock Band. It was so much fun. I had a hard time with the drums, but it was very entertaining to watch. ROCK ON!
We stayed with my brother Danny and his family for one night. It was Danny's birthday and he was having a party, so we crashed it. My cousin Reed and his wife came with their kids, I hadn't seen them for a long time. The kids all loved Eli.

More to come...

I will post more of August tomorrow and maybe September. I will make it a goal to post more often so I am not putting too much on at one time and it won't take as long. Sorry for being so bad, I will do better! Hope everyone is doing well!

I want to do it myself!!!

Eli is a begger and wants whatever we are eating! He used to be content at letting us give things to him, but one day he wanted to do it himself, so we gave him the whole Popsicle. He devoured it!
